Fetlife Events

This is a curiosity to me. On Fetlife you can post that you are or that you might be going to a certain event. I have never advertised that I would go to an event. I would like to get an idea of the advantage or what other Fetlife users like about this feature. Just a curiosity. Please comment on why you do or do not do this. Thanks for the input.

    Sometimes I am on the fence about whether I want to go to an event. If I look at the attendance list and see someone I would really like to get to know better, I sign up. Likewise, someone who would like the opportunity to talk to me can do the same. Myz

    My question is where do you find out about these events? I've been looking for a long time, and have never seen any notices or articles. Am I simply looking in the wrong places? The name's Jon, by the way. If you could send any information to speer_jon@yahoo.com, I'd really appreciate it.
